A welcome newcomer located in the same building as NORR11 on Hverfisgata, right across the street from Safnarhúsið Museum. During lunch, you can head there for a soup and sandwich combo, but in the afternoon visit Mikki Refur for their unique variety of natural wines and coffee.
It’s charming and tucked away, a little secret getaway from the main street feels like you are traveling from the streets of downtown Reykjavík to Barcelona. It’s not an easy find, but if you follow the signs, then you can find Port 9 where it welcomes you with open arms and offers you a wide range of excellent wines from all over the world, matched with a great tapas menu.
Located right in the midst of one of the busiest areas for nightlife in Reykjavík, Apéro offers an escape to the second story of a charming corrugated iron building. Their by-the-glass selection is like no other, and the emphasis is focused on French wines from small producers that they import themselves directly. Recently, they have expanded their menu alongside their wine selection too, making it the perfect spot for a date night in the city, or post-dinner drinks.
Kramber offers you a selection of wines, cocktails and a good bite on the side. Located right off Skólavörðustígur street, which leads up to the famed landmark of Hallgrímskirkja church, it’s the perfect location for a drink after exploring the highlights of the city. The wine bar is described as the living room of their owners, Lísa and Dísa, who welcome you to relax in their second home.
