Snowmobiling can be achieved year round in Iceland thanks to our mighty ice caps. This snowmobiling tour, meeting directly at their Skjól base camp, will take you onto the vast, snow covered, Langjökull glacier by super jeep. You’ll then zip across the snow covered glacier on a snowmobile, with incredible views in every direction.

This tour is a total of 4 hours, including time to prep and ride via superjeep up and onto the ice cap, with 1 hour on the snowmobile riding across the glacier.
The snowmobiling experience is phenomenal, but make sure to take in the spectacular views while you are there. The panoramic view of the highlands and neighbouring icecaps is incomparable. On a good day, you will be able to see Eiríksjökull Glacier (the highest mountain in west Iceland), Hofsjökull Glacier and the Kerlingafjöll Mountains. Not bad, right?

ATTENTION
You are required to hold a valid driving license (usually 17+) to operate a snowmobile.
Standard price includes a one-hour snowmobile ride-sharing a two-person snowmobile. If you are a solo traveller, you must purchase a single ride ticket or upgrade before the tour is due to start.
Age limit for passengers is min. 8 years. Please consult if you are travelling with younger children.
GOOD TO KNOW
Appropriate layers are necessary to keep warm under the overall. Thermal wear, wool and fleece are recommended. Jeans are not suitable clothing; Waterproof shoes, warm socks and a warm sweater are recommended.
You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland, and your snowmobile tour might be cancelled with short notice due to weather. Just like us, our partners have your safety as their number one priority!
The timing and specifics for this tour can change depending on various factors, so this tour needs to be flexible and can run between 8 and 10 hours or more depending on road conditions.
This tour uses up the majority of the afternoon, so make sure to bring a pack lunch so that you are able to eat while on the glacier itself. The glacier base has access to purchasable coffee, tea and snacks but no substantial food options. Plan ahead.
