Þórsmörk, or the valley of Thor, is in the interior highlands of Iceland and is an oasis for hikers and those looking to experience the raw beauty of this incredible country. At the start of the day, you will be picked up by one of Activity Iceland’s customised super jeeps and head east out of the city, along the south coast of Iceland, en route to the breathtakingly beautiful Þórsmörk.
You will also get the chance to visit Seljalandsfoss, which is a 60m high waterfall that seems to fall off the cliff as if by magic. You can even walk right around behind this incredible waterfall.
To drive to your next stop, Gigjökull glacier, your guide will put the super jeep to the test as you splash through rivers and streams. You will now start to understand why the big jeep is needed for this tour! Gigjökull is a glacier tongue stretching from the infamous glacier Eyjafjallajokull, the volcano which erupted in 2010 wreaking havoc all over Europe.
