Day 1 of 7 | Arrival Day

A private driver will wait for you by the arrival gates at KEF Airport upon arrival and take you straight to Reykjavik to check into the newly opened Reykjavik EDITION by Marriott. This 5 star hotel is bring a new level of luxury to Reykjavik and Iceland. After checking in you will have a free afternoon to explore the city. Reykjavik is a compact city easily explored on foot, and the EDITION is the perfect base. Have a read through our Reykjavík City Guide where we’ve outlined some of our favourite places, covering everything from transportation in the city, to sights, shopping, activities and restaurants.

At 20:00 pm you will meet at the TIDES restaurant within the hotel to have a 3 course welcome dinner. The Reykjavik EDITION hosts Tides Restaurant, helmed by none other than Gunnar Karl Gíslason, the chef behind the much celebrated Michelin-starred Dill. The timeless traditions and distinctive ingredients of Icelandic cuisine are the driving force behind Tides Restaurant and its concept of inventive yet familiar Nordic gastronomy. With dinner all food is included. Drinks are not included.

Day 2 of 7 | Golden Circle & Friðheimar Tomato Greenhouse

At 9:30 am you’ll be picked up by your Hidden Iceland guide (Ms. Holly Spice) from EDITION to explore the famed Golden Circle for the day. First you will head straight to explore Þingvellir National Park which holds historical and geological significance being the site of the first known parliament in the world, where many of Iceland’s most important decisions were made. It is also a place of incredible beauty, sitting in the rift valley of the separating North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Afterwards, at 12:30 pm we will enjoy a unique lunch where we also get to warm up inside the tomato greenhouse farm Friðheimar. Having lunch amongst all the tomato plants in the greenhouse is something we are sure you will never forget. Next we get to witness the force of Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls. From there, it is only a short drive to see the wonders of the geothermal area of Geysir, the original exploding geyser, and its surrounding steam vents. We’ll return to Reykjavík in time for dinner in the city, and get to explore downtown on a Saturday night.

Day 3 of 7 | Reykjavík Free Day

Have an easy day in the city to do some last minute exploring of our favourite sights in the city, or do some shopping for some souvenirs or Icelandic design. Have a read through our Reykjavík City Guide where we’ve outlined some of our favourite places, covering everything from transportation in the city, to sights, shopping, activities and restaurants.

Day 4 of 7 | South Coast Highlights

Our guide will pick you up from your Reykjavík EDITION at 9:00 am by Ms. Holly Spice to embark on our adventure to explore the entire south coast of Iceland. We have around 1.5 hours driving before we will visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Another 30 minutes drive gets us to Skógafoss waterfalls before taking a walk on Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. There is a restauarnt on site here where the group can have lunch. We continue our drive further east where we’ll soon start to see the spectacular glaciers and Iceland’s highest mountains until we come into our accommodation for the night at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon. This hotel is perfectly position on the edge of the enormous Vatnajökull National Park, complete with a fantastic restaurant, hot tubs and sauna.  The hotel also ffers a wake up call list offered by the hotel, if you haven’t spotted them before bed.

Dinner reservation: Table reserved at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon at 19:45. pm. Dinner is not included.

March 15th, 2022
Day 5 of 7 | Snowmobiling, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach & Northern Lights

Time to depart Hotel: 8:30 am. Please be in lobby to check out with all of your luggage before 8:15 am.

After breakfast this morning we are head to meet our partners who will take us on top of Iceland’s ice caps. We will need to leave the hotel at 8:30 am to join their 9:30 am tour. To get there you will jump in the back of our partners superjeep to get up on top of the glacier, before swapping over to a snowmobile where you will zoom across this snowy landscape with incredible views on clear days.

Once back down from the glacier we take the short drive to one of our all time favourite locations in Iceland, the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where we take time to explore the enormous glacier lagoon and the icebergs which float around here. Seals can often be spotted swimming amongst the icebergs. We make our way over to the Diamond Beach, where the icebergs from the lagoon flow with the tide out to the ocean and wash up on the shores of the black sand beach. We’ll then begin our journey back west, making more scenic stops as we go, before we get to our quaint countryside hotel, Hotel VOS. This hotel has all the Icelandic countryside charm and the lovely owner Gyða, wil be there to welcome you. Thsi hotel is perfectly positioned to see the northern lights, with many nights spent here watching the aurora from just outside the rooms, or in the outdoor hot tub.

Day 6 of 7 | Reykjanes ATV Tour & Silica Hotel by Blue Lagoon

Time to depart Hotel: 9:00 am. Please be in lobby to check out with all of your luggage before 8:40 am.

Aftre breakfast at Hotel VOS we set off for for the last day of exploring with your Hidden Iceland guide, which takes you along the Reykjanes peninsula. This peninsula is listed as a UNESCO Geopark, with some truly unique rock formations from all the volcanic activity from four volcanic systems. In the harbour town of Grindavik we will meet with our partners to do a 1 hour ATV tour that will see you travelling across the volcanic landscapes, famous to this area of the country. The ATV tour is booked at 11:00 am andYou will take trails that run through historic lava fields, the old harbour area Hópsnes that now serves as a recreational outdoor area with abandoned dramatic shipwrecks and over hundred year old foundations from the beginning of Grindavík’s settlement that remains unspoiled and protected for a reminder of the old life.

Afterwards we will grab lunch in the town before taking the short drive to check in to our final nights stay. We will have you here in the early afternoon, so you can really relax and take in all this hotel has to offer. Once you have checked into your rooms at Silica Hotel and dive straight into the milky blue waters of the Blue Lagoon & more exclusive Silica Lagoon. After making the most of the inclusive face masks and relaxing soak it’ll be time to get ready for your evening dinner. Dinner has been reserved at 8:00 pm at the Lava Restaurant.

Day 7 of 7 | Departure Day

A private driver will collect you from Silica Hotel and take you straight to Keflavík Airport. You will leave Iceland with new memories and friendships that are sure to last a lifetime. Hope to see you back here again!
